Regulatory & policy developments
AMFI has issued the list of T30 cities, identifying a little over 1,500 pin codes. This move is expected to bring uniformity across R&T agents and AMCs in mapping B30 transactions for additional payouts from March 1, 2026. To avail of B30 incentives, distributors must ensure that the pin codes mentioned in mutual fund folios match those provided in the KYC form.
SEBI has revised norms for third-party reviewers in green debt securities. The reviewer must be independent of the issuer and its management, be remunerated in a conflict-free manner, and possess expertise in assessing ESG debt instruments.
SEBI chief Tuhin Kanta Pandey warned investors against “listing pops” and said long-term investing is key. He stated that IPO proceeds monitoring mechanisms have been strengthened, valuation bases and business details are well disclosed in issue documents, and the LODR framework may be reviewed further if required.
SEBI has removed over 1.2 lakh misleading finfluencer posts and deployed an AI-based tool named ‘Sudarshan’. The regulator said more than 120,000 pieces of content were taken down after identifying violations of its norms.

EPFO has maintained the 8.25% interest rate on EPF deposits for 2025–26. Over the past decade, the interest rate on employees’ provident fund deposits has seen a slight decline.
Markets & sectoral trends
Industrial production growth slowed to a three-month low of 4.8% in January, following a rebound in the final months of 2025.
India’s manufacturing activity reached a four-month high in February, with the HSBC India Manufacturing PMI rising to 56.9. The expansion was driven by strong domestic demand, faster output growth and steady hiring, while export growth slowed to a 17-month low.
Corporate actions, capital flows & business developments
Artemis Medicare plans to raise ₹700 crore through a QIP. The company aims to triple its total bed capacity to between 1,700 and 2,300 by 2029.
IRB InvIT Fund’s Kaithal Tollway has received a ₹274 crore arbitral award and a 137-day extension from NHAI. Shares of IRB Infrastructure Developers ended at ₹41.70, up 0.29% on the BSE.
Bharat Electronics has declared an interim dividend of ₹1.95 per share for FY26. The company reported 23.7% revenue growth and a 28% rise in EBITDA in the December quarter.
GAIL’s board has approved a ₹1,736 crore wind power project in Maharashtra.
